You may be wondering about the unusual spelling of our name. It's a playful blend of international languages: our owner, Kristina, is part Danish, and æble is the Danish word for apple, which is a fruit that is definitely in abundance in this area! Æble also resembles the English word 'able', which represents our mission: to help you be able to do the things you want, and to be able to enjoy your life as free from pain as possible. We want our patients to know they are able to talk with us without fear of judgement or embarrassment: we are able to tailor a treatment plan that suits any comfort level. Your preferences are important to us, from whether we chat during your treatment or your selection of music, to more personal decisions such as your level of comfort surrounding your state of dress or undress, positioning, areas of focus, and desired pressure. In every session, particularly if we are new to each other, we will check in with you throughout the treatment to ensure your comfort. If at any point you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or dissatisfied, please don't hesitate to speak up and we will modify your treatment accordingly. We also aim to make the experience as simple as possible, so we offer the options of direct billing, and online booking services. If you feel we'd be a good fit for you, we would be honoured to become a part of your health team!

Hello fellow 'Sounders and neighbours close by! I hope this website will answer any questions you may have - my goal here is to provide the nuts and bolts without overwhelming. With that goal in mind, here is a bit about me.
I'm fairly new to Owen Sound, and have quickly fallen in love with the area. Before I became a Massage Therapist, I worked exclusively as a musician, primarily on the piano, but also as a jazz vocalist. Some noteable highlights include performing with folks in the midst of voice or instrumental exams or performances, accompanying choirs, and working with music theatre companies, contributing both as a rehearsal pianist and orchestra member. Once upon a time, I also performed for Queen Latifah when she was in Toronto!
I studied Massage Therapy at Medix College and since graduating and earning my license, I have continued my education, adding Hot Stone Massage, Cupping and Gua Sha, Indie Head Massage, and furthering my studies in TMJD treatment and care.
My primary goals with this clinic are to make sure each person feels safe, secure, empowered, and in control of their treatment plan. I will offer recommendations, of course, but the decisions are ultimately yours.
